If you are like me, you dislike going from program to program such as Steam, Origin, Desura, and U-play. Well, Razer has created a solution to this problem with their new piece of software dubbed “Cortex”. This software looks to become your one stop center for PC gaming, inside of it you can view all installed games, look for deals using tons of different websites and game providers, boost your game’s performance by shutting down unused processes, capture screenshots, and show fps. The menu of the game screen looks a lot like steam big picture mode, where there are boxes for each game instead of a list, this makes it easier to find some games and gives you the ability to jump straight into the action.

One of the main reasons to pick up this software is the Deals section, where it tells you the current deals from 8 (more to come) different game sellers including Steam, Origin, Gamestop, Amazon, GreenManGaming, GamersGate, and GOG.com. The amount of sales is overwhelming, it makes the steam summer sale look like a normal list of sales and it looks to save you the most amount of money.

The program requires you to have a Razer Synapse account, which can easily be made, and recommends a dropbox account for it has a feature that will back up your game saves in case your hard drive breaks or any other issue.

If I had to rate this program in it’s current state I would give it a 8.5/10 for it’s great one stop gaming destination and it’s inclusion of multiple programs that will help you enjoy your gaming experience.
